National Library Week
Many of you enjoyed our “Sticker Shock” game and were amazed to learn that a single year’s journal subscription can cost more than a new Ford Taurus. For the curious, the answers are listed below. Winners randomly drawn from all those who played the game are: Clint Benoit, Sherry Curry, Linda Denke, Jenny Kahenbach, Theresa McEwing, Janice Murff, and Amye Veron. Congratulations!
Match the luxury item to the journal whose one year subscription cost is closest to the sales price of the item.
Everybody loves gummi worms! The response to our “Guess the number of bookworms in the jar” contest was overwhelming. Guesses ranged from 56 to 1675. And now the information you’ve been waiting for . . . there were 190 gummi worms in the jar! Congratulations to Umar Hussain, who correctly guessed the exact number. He will receive a $20 Bookstore gift certificate as well as the infamous jar of worms. Others whose guesses were close enough to be eligible for prizes are: James Barrow, Rosaline Darty, Rose Frazier, Lori Johnson, Jay Lake, Marianne Mullin, Bryan Shelby, Karen Tubbs, and Rishi Wadhwa.
