Librarian Receives State Award

Congratulations to Montie’ Dobbins, the Library’s head of User Access Services, who was recently selected by the Louisiana Library Association as the recipient of its Anthony H. Benoit Mid-Career Award. This award recognizes a Louisiana librarian with 10-20 years of professional experience who has contributed significantly to librarianship and to the people of Louisiana. The award was presented on March 8 at the Louisiana Library Association's annual conference.  (Photo credit: Ali Bernard Photography)

Additional Study/Group Space During Core Lab Renovations

The Library has made additional temporary space for students in room G-425. This room is on the ground floor of the Library, near the restrooms. When not in use for small groups, it will be available for individual study, similar to other rooms in the Library. The room has desks, chairs and a round table.

Right now, this space is a temporary effort from the Library to help our students during the Core lab renovation, and as final exams near. The usual policies about the Library’s study rooms apply to this room.
