Library Staff Member Retiring

The Library faculty and staff congratulate Donna Compton, Ph.D., on her retirement November 30. Dr. Compton joined the Library staff in August 2002. In her role as the Library's Night/Weekend Supervisor, Dr. Compton assisted Library users and supervised the Library’s student workers. She also served as one of the Library’s Writing Consultants. We appreciate Dr. Compton's years of service to the Library and LSU Health, and we wish her all the best in her retirement!

Eyeglass Drive at the Library

In cooperation with the Ophthalmology Interest Group and the Shreveport Red River Lions Club, the Health Sciences Library will be holding an Eyeglass Drive during the month of November. To donate your old glasses and eyeglass cases, please leave them in the basket at the Library’s circulation desk. At the end of November, the glasses will be given to the Shreveport Red River Lions Club. The Lions Club accepts prescription glasses, reading glasses, and sunglasses, with plastic or metal frames. Children’s glasses are especially needed. Donate your old eyeglasses, and help change lives one pair at a time.
